More parents work at home, or are looking to work at home, now than any other time. With the economy taking a turn downward, both parents are trying to make ends meet by starting an at home business.
Most people don’t know where to start or even if it’s worth it. I’m here to tell you IT IS! The cost to start an at home business is minimal and you can do your marketing for free.
Business start-up in 2009
Start with looking at yourself.
-Work Ethics Can you motivate yourself? Will you be treating this as a second or full-time job? Are you well motivated? Are you easily distracted? Do you have any weaknesses that need to be resolved? Make a plan of how to resolve these issues beforehand so they don’t set you back.
-Business Research. What kind of business is it? What is their reputation? Quality of the product? Do you like the product? What is their compensation plan? Who is your competition? Evaluate the business to see if it’s right for you.
Once you’ve picked your business:
-Market your business. Do you want to market your business from home? Do you feel comfortable holding home parties? Are you going to market to friends in family? Do you want to market online? You get out what you put in. Look to others who are already successful. What is a new way to attract prospects?
-Find A Mentor. Find a person who can help you with your business. Online you can find lots of business coaches and mentors willing to advise you for free. Get educated and keep an open mind.
Both parents can work from at home successively with the right tools.
