One of the lightest and most fun desserts to eat has got to be the fortune cookie, but did you know that you can obtain personalized fortune cookies? Well you can, they make superb party favors, and when people read their fortunes they have a real laugh about them. While it is true that the fortune you get in your cookie hardly ever come true, they certainly give you something to talk about and this in itself can get a party going.
Fortune cookies actually don’t come from China, this is a strange thought, but even though you generally end off a Chinese meal with one of these, they were invented in the USA, California to be precise. They were initially a Japanese concept that was adapted for American consumption. American/Chinese restaurant owners took to the idea and they soon became part of the Chinese restaurant culture.
Beside the facts that these cookies taste so good and are great fun, they are purported to have been adapted from a Japanese sweet treat known as Tsujiura Sembei. They were sweetened a little and adapted for tastes in the USA by the Japanese designer who landscaped the “Japanese Tea Garden” in Golden Gate Park. His name, if you are interested was Makoto Hagiwara. When he made them for frequenters of the tea garden he would insert thank you notes into them, but Chinese restaurant owners like his idea and it soon took off in popularity, only they decided to insert fortunes instead of thank you notes.
In keeping with more modern times fortune cookies now contain lottery-like lucky numbers and more trite fortunes. However it is possible for you to insert your own little bits of wisdom if you decide you want to serve personalized fortune cookies at a celebration.
Thinking up your own fortunes will add a more personal touch to them and make them great fun to read. These cookies have become great favorites as party favors. If your party or celebration has a particular them, they may also be decorated to fit in with the theme.
They are not only delicious to eat, they are original and ideal for weddings, birthdays, corporate functions, banquets, actually any celebration. They can be served with desert or handed to guests as a parting gift when they leave. You might be amazed but it is actually fantastic what can be done with these delicious treats.
The fortune cookies can be frosted or dipped in chocolate in any color. They can be covered in tiny sprinkles or decorated with all kinds of super goodies. The cookies each arrive packaged in their own cellophane packaging or can even be presented in a tiny transparent Chinese take-out container to make them more fun.

Different countries celebrate Mother’s Day on different days, because this day comes from different backgrounds. According to some sources this day comes from a custom of mother worship in ancient Greece.
The ancient Romans also had a holiday, called Matronalia, and during the time of this day mothers received presents. Besides the Mother’s Day, in many countries International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8th.
The author of modern Mother’s Day holiday is known to be Anna Jarvis. In 1912 she trademarked phrases “second Sunday in May” and “Mother’s day”. She has also created the Mother’s Day International Association.
Anna Jarvis created this day to honor the mother, not mothers in general. Meaning, the day is dedicated for the mother of each person, and each person has to honor his own mother.
This day did not become known as national holiday immediately. Anna Jarvis first held a memorial for her late mother in 1907. It was a private ceremony. Later she ran campaigns to make this day popular.
Mother’s Day became popular in 1910 when clothing merchant John Wanamaker financed the campaigns. The holiday spread as a day for mother appreciation. It has become accepted as national holiday by US President Woodrow Wilson on May 14, 2009.
To this day, after almost 100 years, Mother’s Day is one of the best known and widely celebrated holidays. We honor our mothers during the time of this day and give them presents.
In the entire world people celebrate Mother’s Day, and even though the dates differ, it means the same thing. We remember our mothers and show them our love and how important they are to us.
As the time runs down, we can start thinking about what we will do during the time of this day, how we will show how much we care to our mothers, what gift we will give her.

What are the best shiatsu massage chairs available on the planet today? This article will highlight the top three shiatsu massage recliners. Shiatsu evolved through the centuries in Japan as a derivative of acupuncture from ancient China. Massage chairs first started in Japan, but have now been picked up by manufacturers around the world. The technology to replicate the subtle shiatsu techniques is nothing short of extraordinary.
First, if you are looking for a great shiatsu massage chair, they do not come cheap. Be prepared to spend $3,000 to $5,000 on one of the massage recliners. This should be viewed as a long term investment in your health and well being. These massage chairs are designed to last between 1,000 and 2,000 hours of service. This means you could get massage therapy for as little as $3.00 per hour!
Shiatsu is a fairly complicated massage technique. It uses a variety of hand movements and it also uses acupressure. Acupressure is a derivative of acupuncture. It uses the body’s trigger points to induce relaxation of the major organs and the whole body. Replicating these techniques is not easy and requires software, mechanical movements and electronics to make it all come together.
If you are looking for the best of the best, then you should go with a name brand massage chair like Omega, Sanyo or Panasonic. These companies have solidly manufactured massage chairs and reliable warranty coverage. These companies have developed excellent technology and incorported it into their top chairs. Let us take a look at some of the top models offered by these top firms.
One excellent massage chair being offered by Sanyo is their HEC-DR7700. The DR7700 is the top of the line for Sanyo. It comes with a barrage of fabulous features and functions. One such feature is the GK roller mechanism that can literally “reach out and grab you”. This shiatsu technology allows for the massage mechanism to reach over the shoulders to perform a gripping massage. This is a very soothing and relieving massage incorporated into this shiatsu lounger.
The Omega Montage Premier is the best massage chair from Omega Massage. The Omega Montage Premier performs a scan of your back and can detect the almost 100 acupressure points. The massage will then be customized based on your readings. This massage chair comes with many features including full body heat, lower body stretching, and even an MP3 music player. This is certainly the closest massage recliner to having an in home spa.
Not to be outdone, Panasonic has their EP 30004 shiatsu massage chair. This is part of Panasonic’s Real Pro Ultra series of massage recliners. This shiatsu recliner comes with a new massage technique called Junetsu. Junetsu means ultra fine kneading in Japanese. This massage uses small circular motions and deep tissue penetration to provide serious muscle relief. The Panasonic EP-30004 is loaded with other great features as well.
The miracle of technology is certainly being applied at break neck speed in the massage chair industry. These companies are pushing the limits of technology and incorporating an incredible array of features. If you have not tried a massage chair or have not tried one in a few years, you will be pleasantly surprised. Although, they are expensive from a capital purchase standpoint, they really do payback quickly in terms of therapy and availability. If you are in the market for a great shiatsu massage chair, these are the three best available today.

Mother’s Day as we know it is a very profound and cheerful day. On this day we honor our mothers, and give them presents. We enjoy spending time with them and sharing old memories. It’s simply a very nice and sweet occasion to celebrate.
But little do most people know that there’s a very sad part of the story. Anna Marie Jarvis will always be remembered as the original founder of this day, and the story would end happily if it was not for the events that took place almost 100 years ago.
On May 12 of 1907 Anna Marie has held a memorial for her mother who died two years earlier. After that day she ran a campaign in her mother’s honor to make the Mother’s Day a widely recognized day. She finally succeeded and in 1914 when it has become a national holiday.
As it were, the holiday has quickly become commercialized and Anna Marie didn’t appreciate that at all. In the 20s she incorporated herself as the “Mother’s Day International Association” and claimed the copyright of the second Sunday of May.
She was active in her campaign against the commercialization and even once was arrested for disturbing peace. She has spent her family heritage on her campaigns against the holiday she created and died in poverty.
That is a sad story and gives food for thought. The real meaning of the day was taken over by superficial gifts and to cite Anna Jarvis, “A printed card means nothing except that you are too lazy to write to the woman who has done more for you than anyone in the world”; that stands true way too often.
Let’s remember the meaning of this remarkable day and honor our mothers from our heart. It’s not the gifts that matter to her but that you show your love. Make her a present, but add your heart into it.

Every year in May we dedicate one day of the year to our beloved person – our mom. We take the time to show our appreciation and our love. On this day when we pay all our attention to her, especially if we have forgotten to do that during the year.
It’s easy to forget our mother in the daily routine. We go fast to our jobs and back home and often we forget our most important people. It is a great tradition to remember them at least that once in a year and let her know that we love her.
It is not with our gifts that we show that but by sharing our memories and emotions, paying her a visit and spending all day with her. This day has a deep meaning for her and for us. That is the time to refresh our connection.
The presents given to her, is a symbol of our attention, but it must also show our feelings. The gift is merely a token, but it must have the intent. Some people choose not to give presents, for not to hide the meaning.
The perfect gift may be not the most expensive one but that which one puts their heart into it. A simple little card made out of old photos can be one that she will cherish for the rest of her life. Yet an expensive coffeemaker can be quickly forgotten.
If you want the best mother’s day idea, look into your heart. Think of your feelings, think of the things that symbolize them. An old little something, even just a picture can do that.
No matter how you choose to show your attention, remember the meaning of this day. It is to show your love, to remind your mom that you are there. And to remind yourself that she is there, and about your everlasting connection.

Ever since the affordable Nintendo Wii came out on the market, families everywhere have been enjoying their time well spent together. In increasing the amount of fun you can have with a Nintendo Wii, you help keep the whole family entertained through fun accessories.
The basic Nintendo Wii accessory is the “Wii Nunchuck.” This device is put out by Nintendo themselves, and is required to play certain games. You may have noticed that in order to play Wii Boxing, you will require this device. It is also used in a wide variety of third-party games developed outside of Nintendo, so do consider buying this device before others.
After you have obtained the Nintendo “Nunchuck,” you should consider buying a Nintendo Wii Classic Controller. This controller is able to play classic SNES games and even N64 games that the regular Wii controller would be impossible to use with. Even some current Wii games will demand that this controller be used, since it has a better button layout and a better directional pad layout.
Nothing compares to the fun-factor of going to a laser tag facility for some fun with friends- simply because you get a large weapon that can be used with pin-point accuracy to have fun with. You can duplicate this fun with the Nintendo Wii and a weapon accessory, which fits right onto the Wii controller. It may not be laser tag, per se, but it is still proves to be much more fun than using the controller itself.
Thanks to the extra sensors that the Wii remote has, you can also use the Wii remote as a steering wheel in some games. This is a bit hard on your own, so you should invest in a steering wheel accessory if you plan to actively play a driving game. Dubbed the “Wii Wheel,” this device can help you take more precise turns, avoid obstacles, and get to the finish line easier than ever before. You’ll find that it is similar to actual driving in a vehicle.
Some accessories aren’t bought separate, but rather as a package. This can be done for the incredibly popular Wii Sports game for the Nintendo Wii. Package deals will include a tennis racket, a baseball bat, a golf club, and sometimes other accessories to complete your game play experience. This will even help you judge timing and improve your game against others.
In Conclusion
Any Nintendo Wii accessory is automatically a great gift idea for children, teens, and adults who may have access to a Nintendo Wii. They are fairly inexpensive and act as a tool for having much more fun with an already fun console system- so everyone wins!

With so many gaming consoles out on the market, and at different price ranges, it can be tough to pick one out. This is even more difficult, considering that certain game systems may only appeal to certain people. But by analyzing what each game system has to offer, you can make an educated decision with ease.
If you want to buy what most are, you probably want to look towards obtaining an Xbox 360. This console suits many tastes, since it has so many different games out for it. The Xbox 360 also has a content network know as Xbox Live, in which the recipient can play games against others, download movies and games, and find updates for their console with ease.
If you don’t mind paying a little bit more than the Xbox 360, you can obtain a PS3. The PS3, also known as the PlayStation 3, is a Sony product that has neat features such as the ability to play Blu-ray DVD discs. In addition, the PS3 has many games that other consoles don’t have, thanks to exclusive agreements to video game developers. Unlike Xbox Live, PS3 owners won’t have to pay for online play.
While Microsoft and Sony duke it out, Nintendo has their own offering: the Nintendo Wii. This game console is popular for being very inexpensive, having a lot of fun games, and also because it is considered a family console. That is to say that the Wii interests even those who don’t like video games, thanks to the level of interactivity that the specially designed Wii remote gives games.
Last generation consoles are still in demand, but to a lesser extent. The PlayStation 2, for instance, has dropped dramatically in price- making it affordable to anyone at all. Some games such as Final Fantasy 12 are also only available on the PS2, making it a highly sought after console at times. The original Xbox doesn’t have the same support, since the Xbox 360 will play most older Xbox games.
Going even further back into time, you will find classics such as the NES or SNES, The good news is that you don’t have to look hard trying to find a console that still works- you can buy old games such as this via the Nintendo Wii Store if you would be so inclined. Microsoft has launched similar programs with game developers to bring nostalgia to the consoles.
Final Thoughts
If you need assistance in your decision, do be sure to ask a worker in the electronics section of the store you visit. Most often, stores will only hire those who are hip on the latest in video game technology- so don’t be afraid to rely on them for advice.

Gift sharing is a very good idea that has been coming from centuries as a good tradition. It is not only a good tradition, but it also gives an opportunity to appreciate someone for their valuable support and contribution. People tend to share gifts on specific occasions such as birthdays, wedding anniversaries, Valentines Day, etc.
Nowadays, it is a common fashion for corporations to give gifts to its employees on various occasions such as holidays, superior job performance, promotions, company anniversaries or when the company meets its business objectives. Giving Seafood accessories as corporate gifts is an excellent and innovative idea and – compared to traditional corporate gift ideas – this is something different.
Nowadays, Seafood corporate gifts are becoming the vogue in the corporate world around the globe. Seafood accessories such as Lobster set, Oyster knife, Seafood forks, Fishing gear set, Fish grill, etc are the sought after gift ideas among major companies. These items are very useful and can be part of any household kitchen. They also make outdoor sporting activities like Fishing, very fun and enjoyable experience.
All employees – regardless of the particular organisation – would like their employer to recognize their hard work in some special ways. When employees are well appreciated, they identify themselves as an important asset of the company and their loyalty towards the organization increases. To appreciate their contribution, companies can come up with creative gift ideas using Seafood accessories.
One such idea is to emboss the gifts with the company logo and a citation full of all the details of contribution to the well being of the company. Something of this nature will certainly raise many questions when people happen to see it. In fact if it is on the desk of the receipient or hanging on the office wall, not only will it look fabulous but everyone will want to know more about how it was won.
When you choose gifts, it is very important to keep in mind, the special tastes of the receiver. However it is not practical for an organization to know the special tastes and interests of all of its employees. To overcome this problem, one can think of giving Seafood gift certificates, which is a very good alternative to giving the actual Seafood accessories as gifts. These gift certificates are available in various denominations for a variety of situations.
Buying a good tasty Seafood dinner for the whole family, sponsoring the whole team for a day long Fishing activity are some of the innovative ways to make the employees feel valued and appreciate their contribution. Some of these activities poster a very strong bonding among the employees and increase team spirit. Hence buying Seafood gift certificates that can sponsor such innovative activities can take an organization to higher levels in improving their employee satisfaction.
Being the winner of the corporate sales contest and winning a special seafood corporate gift is an honor not bestowed on many. When you are the top dog, everyone knows about it! When the rest of the office sees how large a jumbo lobster can be, they will definitely be telling stories about it. The fact that this type of award is best when given at a company function, full of all the other employees, ensures that everyone will be talking about you for awhile to come.
Anyone can just simply show up to work on a daily basis, do the minimum required actions and then continue back to their home at the end of the day. These are not the kind of people that will be winning any awards of recognition in the near future. It takes a very special and dedicated person to rise to the occasion and commit the hours upon hours of time that is necessary to be at the top of your department or field. There is certainly a big difference between these two kinds of people.

Showing your appreciation can be a good step in creating good personal relations with someone who has done something nice, gone out of their way for you, or accomplished a task in an extraordinary way. A gift with a nice note can do a lot to let them know you appreciate their efforts, and they will remember you.
There are a lot of ways to show someone that you are thinking of them, or showing them that you really appreciate the job they?ve done, the help they rendered; like flowers. Remembering the people around you in a physical way, with a gift, note or flowers will show them you possess good manners, but it will also make a good impression. Etiquette is one of the most useful tools in good relationships with other people.
Showing your appreciation is all about acknowledging the efforts of those who love and support you and serves as a positive reinforcement to the relationship that you have with them. The thank you gifts that you receive actually serve the purpose of preserving your memories and recognizing shared achievements.
The practice of showing appreciation also serves as an efficient networking tool as people are more likely to recommend you for a job if they have positive experiences when working with you. If you appreciate the efforts of your fellow workers, it shows that you recognize their work and that you are grateful for their support and encouragement.
There are many thank you gifts available at specialty stores in every city. Some of the popular gifts that you can use to show your appreciation are: flowers, stationery sets, personalized jewel boxes and vintage wines. If you are unable to locate a store near you for selecting an appropriate gift, you could go online and get your gifts from a website specializing in thank you gifts. Some of the websites even have innovative tools that let you select gifts according to the personality of the recipient. These websites even allow you to set a reminder so that you do not forget to buy a gift to show your appreciation.
Considering the influence that a thank you gift can provide, it is important to make wise decisions when it comes to choosing the perfect gift. This may be difficult if you do not know what sort of things the recipient enjoys or if there are any special considerations, such as if the recipient is allergic to certain flowers or materials.
There are also certain social niceties that you have to remember when you are out shopping for gifts. For example deodorants and beauty enhancers are not good gift selections. You certainly do not want to tell your friend or fellow worker that they have poor personal hygiene!
You could always choose gift baskets for conveying your appreciation as they contain a variety of snacks, stationary and other useful knick knacks. The sheer range of products available in popular gift baskets ensure that the person getting the gift always has something to look forward to in the basket that they have received.

Mother’s Day is the special time each year for us to show how much we appreciate the most important person in our lives, our mothers. We want to show them how we feel about them and want it to be a memorable moment every time. Our gift to them for this occasion is one thing that can make this day memorable. So we want it to be a beautiful, original, yet practical and all in all great gift that she would enjoy.
People go out of their line to make a great gift for their mothers and come up with all sorts of ideas. Let’s see what ideas are the most popular among them.
First of all, the flowers come to my mind. What Mother’s Day is without flowers. Even though it sounds cliche, flowers are never old or out of place as a gift. Besides, you can do so many things with them. Big bouquets, flower baskets, fresh and artificial flowers – there are many ways to surprise her. And with flowers usualy go chocolate. A box of expensive chocolate and a bouquet is probably the most popular standard gift.
On to other gifts, the ideas spread into a wide spectrum defined by the likes and hobbies are, what profession is of your mother. Something practical and useful is always a good gift. Considering that most mothers are great cooks, something for their kitchen is a very popular idea. Be it just a coffeemaker, a mixer, a breadmaker or a china set.
A mother is a woman, so beauty accessories is another popular idea. There’s a lot to choose from, but the most popular gotta be perfumes.
And of course, for the modern mothers the hot new electronic gadgets are always very much welcome. Be it a new cell phone, an ipod, or a GPS navigator for her car. Or if you want to make something very special, buy her a new HDTV.
