Game-Changing Chiropractic Marketing Tactics with Social Networks

Sunday, April 5th, 2009

It’s clear that social marketing on MySpace, YouTube, and Facebook is the wave of the future for chiropractic marketing and garnering residual income, but what people don’t realize is that it’s tremendously important to market yourself correctly from the beginning. You need the right guidance to make sure you develop proper credibility within your community, and you need your guide to have experience. Don’t spend thousands to get off on the wrong foot, wasting time and precious energy. There are some secret rules that you must learn to correctly navigate the journey ahead.

Social media is an interesting phenomenon, in the fact that, it has spread like wildfire and permanently altered the landscape and dynamics of communication as we know it. A question that is asked frequently by chiropractors is, “Are social networks just for teenagers?” In short, the answer is a whopping no! Not sure where this misconception came from but many are still oblivious to the millions of middle and older aged folks plugged in daily. Did you know that employers are actually passing laws at work because employees are literally addicted to this style of communication? As a savvy business owner and entrepreneur, I knew the implications of this immediately so I took advantage and my life hasn’t been the same since.

Ride the information super-highway straight to better abundance for your business and your life. Get on the path to success and utilize the unique power of Web 2.0 to transform your practice almost overnight. While you’re at it, I’ll teach you to create endless streams of income from other sources.

I show chiropractors how to leverage social media sites to get loads of highly targeted new patients walking into their office every month. The best part is, this is done without ever having to spend one cent on advertising! This is information your current consultant or practice management “guru” is dying to get his hands on because he’s clueless.

Barely anyone is using social networks to build their practice at the present time. The ones that are doing it successfully are the ones that I taught. They are utterly dominating the competition in the community and are able to reach people that would otherwise be untouchable with the do-not-call lists or with postcards, etc. On one of my profiles, I have in excess of 6,400 friends, 3,000 of which are members of my local community who I can communicate with via blogs and bulletins. I am the first and only consultant to leverage the power of social media and share these carefully guarded secrets with other struggling doctors and students.

I’m now established as the chiropractic expert in my community’s niche, and automatically receive countless referrals monthly. My reputation will endure just about anything, and my business practically runs itself. When people are looking for a chiropractor in my community, on Google they will come up with my profile, first and foremost. I have endless speaking engagements around the country, and that is due to the proven success of my program. I’m here to improve the lives of my students through the health and prosperity of their business.

Begin to brainstorm on what you want to be known for in your community and you can even start to create simple videos that will showcase your talents and let the people know that you are a real person. Keep the videos under five minutes, as people have a short attention span. Also, make them fun, interactive, and interesting so folks want to hear about your next adventure or health tip of the day. If you are unsure about how to create a video and the technical aspects, my video training course will bring you up to speed in no time.

Heck, you don’t even need a video camera at first, although if you want to be a major player you’ll get one. When I first began, I was doing tutorials with only screen capture software and it was yielding some pretty amazing results. A few of my videos went viral, which just means they spread like a virus. This is, again, free advertising and desperate docs that use pay-per-click on the search engines would kill for these results. Instead, they waste there money spending in upwards of one dollar per click while my videos are getting hundreds of views per day at no charge and allowing me to dominate Google. It’s time to own your greatness fellow chiropractor!

How I Handled a Twitter Slap

Thursday, April 2nd, 2009

The first time I heard about Twitter was just three months ago. I was introduced to Facebook and YouTube at the same time. My thinking was that these sites were great places to interact with other like-minded people and I signed up for all three.

I immediately became active on all three sites and was learning as I went along. I had been advised that according to Twitter etiquette, it would be proper for me to follow back everyone that followed me. There was a free tool that was available that allowed me to do this, and to also automatically thank people for following me. I got everything set up and then started following people that I found interesting. Some of these people automatically followed me back, whereas others didn’t.

I was having fun, and as the weeks went on I paid little or no attention to the numbers. Twitter posts three sets of numbers at all times. They are those you are following, those who are following you, and updates. A few times each day I would go on the site for a few minutes and post a ‘tweet’ or reply to someone that was asking for information. I would also add more people each time I went on. However, I didn’t pay any attention to how many people were actually following me back.

So just about a week ago I was adding more people that I wanted to follow when one of the follow requests would not activate. I thought that Twitter was having a technical problem so left it for a while. However, when I tried again, the same thing happened. I had no idea what was going on. I was still able to send out “tweets” (twitter messages) so I asked if this was happening to anyone else. I received a reply that I had received a “Twitter Slap”. Perhaps you have heard of the very common “Google Slap” where Google punishes you for not adhering to their rules and regulations. Well, this is much the same thing but obviously not anywhere near as serious.

Someone explained that as I was now following 2000 people, Twitter examines your ratio of following to followers and if you fall outside the parameters, then they shut you down and don’t allow you to follow anyone else, until you get your figures in order. So now I understood what the problem was, but how was I supposed to fix it?

I did a little research and was amazed to find literally over one hundred different tools that you could use to enhance your Twitter experience. I was searching for something that would help me reduce the number of people I was following. I didn’t just want to go in and arbitrarily unfollow others, so I was looking for something that would make the job easier. For one thing I needed to know the people that were not following me back.

The following two tools were just what I was looking for:-

www.friendorfollow.com…this site lists all the people who are not following you back; www.twitoria.com…this site lists all the people who have not posted for a while;

With the aid of these tools, it then became quite easy to choose the people I wanted to unfollow. By doing this I could have my account unfrozen and then continue to follow more targeted people. It did exactly as I had hoped.

I would suggest you check your numbers and if you are getting close to following 2000 people, then I suggest you check to see how close the number of people following you is. If it is just about the same, then you will have nothing to be concerned about. So far, this is the only Twitter slap that I am aware of, but no doubt there are others.

If you are already on Twitter please follow me. If you are not, then hop over to Twitter and get signed up. It only takes a moment and it’s free. If you follow me, then I will follow you back. You can see me on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/janshimano.

Chiropractic Internet Marketing Tactics for 2009

Monday, March 16th, 2009

Are you one of the many chiropractors who thought that your expensive and classy website would automatically draw countless new patients through your door? Did a practice management group promise you that this would be the case, but they werent right? Well, the good news is that youre not alone, because this is the trap that most chiropractors fall into. What you need to know is that it isnt the website thats effective but the traffic to the website.

So why is traffic so difficult to obtain with an online world so filled with traffic? The answer is that youre using outdated methods of marketing that dont know how to tap into internet traffic, or how to draw that traffic to your expensive website. No one in school is taught the methods to do it, and no one in these management groups knows anything about it either. But, you can utterly transform your practice when you know the secrets of driving traffic to your website. Trust me, I know. I was able to learn the secrets of traffic generation, and used my knowledge to generate a 5 figure income for myself each month.

There are a number of things you can do to create traffic and the simplest and most profound is article writing. Gain credibility as an author on Yahoo and Google, and watch as the popularity of your practice soars. You can even start small, with one article a week written by yourself or a ghostwriter. The snowball effect of writing articles online is phenomenal.

The next major step is to get a blog running about your practice, and contribute to the blog a few times each week. A blog is amazing, because you can contribute things to it like videos, PR announcements, podcasts and more. Think of your blog as your home base where potential patients in your community can learn about you personally and your business practices. Blogs have wonderful indexing power in search engines. I recommend hosts like WordPress and LiveJournal.

Now what youre going to want to do is consistently contribute to forums like Yahoo Answers, taking the posture of an expert and problem solver. When people read your answers to popular posts, theyre going to find you at your website to learn more. That means that as little as 15 minutes a day can drive thousands of people to your website.

Now, youre going to want to network and meet people online, and the sure-fire method of accomplishing that is through social media sharing sites like LinkedIn, Friendster, Facebook, and the like. These amazing Web 2.0 sites are taking over the internet, and when you request friends from you community on these sites, theyre going to check your website to see who you are and what youre about.

The fifth major step to take involves Pay Per Click. These sites include Google, MSN, Yahoo and many more services offering a targeted way to send traffic to your website. The automatic method is by far the most powerful. This makes the traffic on demand, so you dont have to sit around waiting for SEO methods to work for you. Now keep in mind that if you dont know what youre doing with this, you can throw a lot of money down the hole.

When you consider that the most powerful marketing tactics use personalization and trust, youll see why video marketing online is the most amazing method for chiropractors looking to draw new patients. I single-handedly transformed my practice using video marketing, and you can too by targeting your community and putting your personal spin on your marketing. Video marketing broke all kinds of records in 2008, and its already shown in 2009 that its growth and power simply wont stop. Even while you sleep, people are watching your video and being driven to your website.

These are your tools in the chiropractic internet marketing tool belt, and they have the potential to totally transform the life of your practice. Youll be freeing up so much more time because youre working smart instead of hard. An expensive chiropractic website can be a waste of money without traffic being driven to it. New patients are the soul of your practice, and when the blood isnt flowing, your practice dies. Internet marketing is the way to get the blood pumping consistently.

Social Media Brings Change to Killer Chiropractic Marketing

Sunday, March 15th, 2009

Chiropractors are among many who have seen their businesses take a turn for the worse in today’s economic environment. Many of these doctors are looking for way to generate new business, but they lack basic marketing skills and often rely on outdated methods.

The same old outdated marketing that your consultant is shoving down your throat had its place in the past and is actually hurting you. Are you still wasting thousands on postcards, newspaper drops, and telemarketing per month? On top of that, are you wasting massive amounts of time trying to meet people at the “Chamber” with very minimal referrals and results? Believe it or not, the best form of marketing and advertising is 100% free now because communication dynamics have made a drastic shift in the last 3 years.

Three years ago I began using SEO / Web 2.0 marketing techniques. I was the first Chiropractor to bring these exciting new tools to our profession, and other doctors were stunned to learn that I was generating huge numbers of new clients with common websites like MySpace, Facebook and YouTube.

I have had various marketing consultants try to grab my secrets, which I’ve shared with only a select group of my fellow chiropractors. These consultants have tried all manner and method of tricking me by calling from anonymous numbers or posing as potential clients. They wanted to capture and sell my ideas, and I was more interested in making my ideas come to life.

During my research I observed how other chiropractors were approaching online marketing. They immediately signed up for their own profile and began spamming other members with their advertisements. Not only will this get you kicked off the website (since it is against the user agreement), but most people hate spam and the result will be the exact opposite of what you intended when you sent it in the first place. The only real way to make the most of these sites is to find a mentor; someone who has been there before and knows how to navigate the waters of Web 2.0.

If you want to succeed in social networking, you must be credible above all else. This means that your contacts and ‘friends’ have to feel that you bring some value to the community. Serious thought must be put in to designing your profile page, and the information that you place there. Your page should be interesting, captivating, fun and engaging.

A couple tips that I can give you for marketing on MySpace include: 1. Never send a friend request to someone unless you first type a friendly message letting them know who you are and why you want to be their friend; and 2. Keep plenty of videos on your profile page. These can be about chiropractic, or even subjects that interest you personally such as sports, music, or movies. Part of the success of social networking involves expressing your own personality to your contacts.

There has never been anything like Web 2.0 in the world of marketing. To understand how to use these sites, it is vital that you understand both the spoken and unspoken rules of participating on them. You will see immediate benefits when you finally understand how they work. The best way to do this is to find a mentor or a guide who can give you the support you need while you make yourself a part of this exciting new environment.

Chiropractic Consulting Groups – Should you Invest?

Sunday, March 15th, 2009

There’s been a tremendous amount of talk recently about how the internet has evolved into a chiropractic new patient powerhouse. This is simply because more and more people are getting online every day to do business and find professionals of all walks. If you understand basic and advanced strategies to position yourself properly in the virtual world then you’ll be able to step in-front of the flood of traffic.

So, where can you learn proven tactics that deal with internet practice marketing? Chiropractic consulting and coaching groups is typically the answer that most doctors think of off the top of their heads. However, the sad reality is that over 95% of these agencies don’t understand how to successfully perform marketing for chiropractors online.

Many of these consulting groups make big promises to everyone, and use the same methods for every single practice that comes their way, regardless of the unique aspects and problems of each chiropractor. This can be a reason why many chiropractic practices are hurting. Theres too much diversity and too many choices in our modern world to create success by using the one size fits all method. You must stand out, or you will sink down.

Not only are some of these consulting groups totally outdated, but theyre charging chiropractors thousands of dollars a month just to maintain the measly amount of business that they already have! The very methods that you think are your life raft are actually drowning you with their weight. So, if you decide to do it yourself, your first thought is perhaps Pay Per Click. PPC can be effective, but if you have no experience then youre probably throwing money down the hole with no results.

Take a look at how much everything has changed in the past few years, and youll start to see a pattern forming that is going to really benefit you. The first thing that youll probably discover is that social media sharing sites are absolutely dominating the online market and millions upon millions of new users are signing up to these Web 2.0 sites weekly. And you know what, these sites are totally free to sign up and network.

So, what is the impact of social media on your chiropractic marketing strategy? Bigger that you may be aware of, that’s for sure. In no other place has it ever been as easy to connect with such specifically targeted people like you can on these mediums. It’s literally networking on steroids to put-it bluntly. You can get into the nooks and crannies that have been eluding the postcard and telephone marketers for quite some time. It’s also never been easier to brand yourself and your message with social media chiropractic marketing.

Video marketing is really the goldmine method that is taking the social media sites by storm, and it makes perfect sense. When people can not only read about your practice, but see you being your natural self, they feel like they already know you and can trust you before walking through your doors. When you adapt to the times, and put your natural image and practice out into the spotlight, the potential for new patients is startling.

The very best way, in my experienced opinion, to get a real jump on these methods is to consult a qualified chiropractic internet marketing specialist. The reason I say this is because I spent a lot of time and money experimenting to learn what I know today. No doubt, you probably dont have the time or money to do that, so you need someone to show you the tactic and secrets of social media sharing sites and Web 2.0 now.

Social Media: Chiropractic Marketing’s Hot New Face

Monday, March 9th, 2009

Chiropractors are among many who have seen their businesses take a turn for the worse in today’s economic environment. Many of these doctors are looking for way to generate new business, but they lack basic marketing skills and often rely on outdated methods.

Are you still using outmoded marketing and advertising techniques? Postcards, newspaper drops, and telemarketing are pass. Networking at the chamber of commerce or trade shows generates few if any real referrals. The absolute best form of marketing available today is actually 100% free, and has been proven successful time and again.

Three years ago I began using SEO / Web 2.0 marketing techniques. I was the first Chiropractor to bring these exciting new tools to our profession, and other doctors were stunned to learn that I was generating huge numbers of new clients with common websites like MySpace, Facebook and YouTube.

The very first time I logged on to a social networking site, I was convinced that there had to be a way to make this amazing tool work for me in my practice. I spent countless hours working out methods for generating new contacts and increasing my business online-and I found success!

Social networks are absolutely free to join and can reap massive rewards if you know how to position yourself as an expert in the community. Many chiropractors make the mistake of spamming others when they initially get on networks like Myspace, Facebook, and YouTube. Then, they wonder why they get kicked off in little time. So what do they then do? Many will bash this type of chiropractic marketing and claim it doesn’t work instead of faulting themselves for not seeking out the proper coaching and guidance. They’ve already destroyed credibility with their primary niche and have blown a perfect opportunity to bring in boatloads of new patients from social media sites.

If you want to succeed in social networking, you must be credible above all else. This means that your contacts and ‘friends’ have to feel that you bring some value to the community. Serious thought must be put in to designing your profile page, and the information that you place there. Your page should be interesting, captivating, fun and engaging.

Let me leave you with a couple simple tips about chiropractic marketing on Myspace. Never send a friend request without a polite message! This is Myspace 101 stuff that is very important since you want the person to know how you ran across their profile. Always include videos on your profile, as it makes people stay on your page for a longer period of time and holds interest. Now, I’m not talking of all chiropractic videos either. People want to know the real you, not just what your profession is!

This is going to be a new language for most doctors since we live in more technologically advanced times. You have a choice though. You can either take a year out of your schedule to learn everything you need to know about social media marketing or you can find a mentor who’s been there and done that. The latter will reduce your learning curve by about a year while the first one will cost you an arm and leg in money and mistakes.

Social Media Brings Change to Killer Chiropractic Marketing

Monday, March 9th, 2009

When speaking with the average chiropractor, it is apparent that critical entrepreneurial thinking is still not stressed in school. Hence, why many doctors never make it in the long term in practice. In fact, the chiropractic profession has the highest student loan default rate of any medical profession. Most of the reason for this that the doctors are taught to be great technicians and have good diagnostic ability but that alone does not pay the overhead each month. Many believe they will just hang-up their sign and people will flock through the door. Well, I have news for the dreamers! Times are changing very quickly and the fast learners will profit heavily and grow their practices to astonishing heights while the laggards will be sucked under with the sinking economy.

Marketing has changed rapidly in the past few years. The biggest factor affecting the change has been the advent of Web 2.0 and social networking on the internet. You may have heard these terms used but were not sure what they mean, and perhaps you feel that you can just ignore this new trend. Marketing experts agree that the future of selling is on the internet. Unless you are willing to take on the social networking sites like Myspace, Facebook and YouTube you will continue to flounder in your business.

Three years ago I began using SEO / Web 2.0 marketing techniques. I was the first Chiropractor to bring these exciting new tools to our profession, and other doctors were stunned to learn that I was generating huge numbers of new clients with common websites like MySpace, Facebook and YouTube.

I had many well-known consultants come to me and basically beg and plead for my secret strategies I was sharing with a select group of chiropractors. Many would try and be sneaky, actually call me from private numbers but they would give me an email or contact information that I could trace-back to a consulting firm. I always thought this was funny because these guys are stuck in the realm of competition, whereas I’m an entrepreneur and creator.

While the profession and 95% of chiropractors are playing catch-up, I’ve been on the cutting-edge discovering new, and even more powerful ways to leverage these Web 2.0 technologies to create a steady stream of new patients and multiple sources of income for me and my hundreds of students. Last month was a great example, as I made over $5,000 in one month from just one video that I posted on YouTube. With returns like this for minimal time investment, many are crippling themselves by not learning how to market the proper way with social media.

Similarly, when using a site like YouTube where members can post their own videos, you have to be able to create content that is useful and fun. There is a lot of competition on YouTube, but for those who can garner a following, the benefits are extraordinary.

Chiropractic Consulting Groups – Must Read

Friday, March 6th, 2009

There’s been a tremendous amount of talk recently about how the internet has evolved into a chiropractic new patient powerhouse. This is simply because more and more people are getting online every day to do business and find professionals of all walks. If you understand basic and advanced strategies to position yourself properly in the virtual world then you’ll be able to step in-front of the flood of traffic.

Where do you learn these strategies and secrets to put your practice above the fray on the internet? Most chiropractors answer that a chiropractic consulting or coaching group is the right choice, but the fact of the matter is that over 95% of these groups know nothing about online chiropractic marketing.

Most of these chiropractic consulting groups want to present themselves as the handymen of marketing; meaning that they can do a one-size-fits-all campaign for each practice. But this very approach can kill your online campaign, and its the originality of your practice that is going to turn heads. This approach can also throw a lot of bills your way from Google Adwords and Yahoo search marketing.

To change with the times, you need to become more aware of the times. Notice how things have changed in the past several years, and youll see that social media sharing sites have absolutely taken hold of the internet and peoples personal lives. Every week, millions of new users hop onto these Web 2.0 sites, and theyre looking to network and meet people.

So what are the implications for chiropractors who are looking to expand their practices and draw new patients? All this implies that you have at your fingertips the ability like never before to market your practice for free and connect with thousands of people daily. You can successfully brand yourself in your community, and perhaps find other opportunities for income as well.

Remember, you must adapt with the current trends and evolve your marketing with a chiropractic internet marketing specialist. This will be the fastest way to reduce your learning curve and to avoid financial “hard knocks” that follow chiropractors around. Chances are, your current chiropractic consulting group does not specialize in Web 2.0, social media, or video marketing since it’s very fresh to the profession. Their lack of knowledge may be hurting you so don’t wait until they update to take control of your practice and profitability. Continued success!

Chiropractic Internet Marketing Proven to Work

Friday, March 6th, 2009

So, perhaps youre a chiropractor who decided to purchase a fancy and costly website, believing that this would magically drive new patients through your door. My guess is that a practice management group was the mastermind behind this fruitless scheme. Are you still struggling month to month, and paying a bundle on inefficient marketing? Youre not alone, because in my experience almost all chiropractors are digging this same grave. Thats because without traffic to your website, you dont have a website.

When it comes down to it, getting boatloads of traffic couldn’t be easier in today’s time. The problem is, chiropractic internet marketing that works is NOT taught in school and hardly any consultants are teaching it. The insider information I’m going to share with you in the coming paragraphs has the potential to change your practice forever if you learn and apply these proven strategies sooner rather than later. These traffic generation methods have been single-handedly responsible for me generating over five figures every month just in online income.

So how do you get tons of visitors to your website, you ask? You need to take advantage of the power of article marketing initially. When you can gain credibility as an author on Google and Yahoo, youre doing yourself an immense service. Start with one article a week. Youre going to start to see incredible traffic and buzz just from the snowball effect of this simple habit.

The next method is starting a consistent blog. When you blog a few times a week about your expertise and attach videos, press releases, podcasts, and announcements, youre increasing your search engine index by leaps and bounds, and that means huge traffic to your website.

The third step is to get your voice heard in popular forums like Yahoo Answers, as this is a wonderful way to drive traffic to your website. Just set aside 15 minutes each day to contribute in these highly targeted forums. When you play the role of the expert and problem solver, your practice receives instant credibility and your community will consider you the source for their chiropractic problems.

Pay Per Click is perhaps the next step you should take, using sites like Google, Yahoo, and MSN to send targeted traffic to your website in large quantities. With the automatic method, youre going to create traffic on demand, and when you have experience in this, you can avoid the pitfalls that get you to throw down lots of money. Create a monthly budget and dont surpass it when it comes to PPC.
