It is a depressing custard pie in the face. An average trip to the mailbox — or the front step, where the mail is shoved through a slot and piles on the floor — will yield: unwanted bills, magazine offers, or generic coupon booklets. Once in a blue moon, though, you might actually get a letter from an actual human being. Or, better yet, you may receive an invitation from someone who thinks you are swell enough to invite to a shindig.
It is all paper, to be sure, but oh, what paper, especially if you happen to receive a letterpress correspondence. The pile of depressing mail on the one hand or a finely printed invitation on the other, the choice seems easy to make. Not to be confused with a greeting card, a letterpress invitation or forget-me-not or save-the-date is a richly crafted affair.
Deeply rooted in the history of modern printing, the press itself is relatively the same piece of machinery Gutenberg used almost 600 years ago. For centuries, the letterpress has printed invitations for royalty, nobility and the wealthy. Now that it is the cutting edge of hip design, consumers are welcome to use computer-generated processes to let their imagination run wild.
Brides-to-be may opt for something a bit more formal, while parents-to-be may choose something a tad ore baby-centric. Hosts and hostesses can festoon their invitations with baubles, bangles, and beads. The invitation is only bound by a person’s imagination. The letterpress can accommodate any taste and any occasion.
Toss your bills and snuggle up on the couch with your letterpress invitation. Separate the wheat from the chaff. With the wealth of choices available, these invitations are ideal for weddings, greeting cards, baby showers, birthdays, and more. The luxury of the letterpress is the luxury of a handcrafted memento, a soon-to-be cherished heirloom.

A disorganized person is always rushing and a person who is always rushing will tend to eat too fast. A person who eats too fast will tend to eat too much and a person who eats too much will tend to get fat.
Another tell tale sign of an unorganized life is untidiness or mess, both at the work place and at home. Here again, having a lot of mess laying about is bound to cause stress, and stress in turn often leads to overeating. As we can see, having a well organized lifestyle optimizes your chances for a happy and healthier life.
It’s an undeniable fact that stress is a common cause of weight problems as the vast majority of people tend to eat whenever they become stressed.
Even health conscious people slip up from time to time and have to resort to instant meals or something similar because they have run out of supplies, but if your life is disorganized, you’ll find this happens to you far more frequently than it should. As a result, you find yourself eating junk foods more often than you eat wholesome foods.
Yet another advantage is that people who are well organized, also tend to eat regular meals at regular intervals. This is fundamental in keeping one’s blood sugar level in check as it’s a well known fact that eating irregularly, is a major cause of low blood sugar. A multitude of research has shown that when blood sugar levels drop below what they should be, overeating becomes the norm.
Take time out to plan your meals ahead of time so that you always have everything you need at hand. This is the only way to ensure that your meals remain nutritious rather than filling yourself up with junk foods.
By being organized and having a shopping list where you have determined in advance the right foods for your diet and weight loss you will be less likely to buy food that you shouldn’t be buying when you go to the supermarket.
Nobody on a weight loss program wants to spend all their waking hours contemplating what they can and cannot eat, or what their next meal will consist of. Being organized when you go and buy your groceries will take away this unnecessary burden as you’ll have planned ahead. The fact is, having a well organized life is critical with any weight loss program.

Of course whenever they have a gift registry you can use the gifts on that but the problem sometimes with that is the couple ends up with duplicate gifts. Below are some thoughtful gift ideas that are sure to delight both the bride and groom.
Whenever the happy couple is just starting out, they will need numerous household items to furnish their new home with. Don’t forget the various pots, blenders and pans to cook the food in and they may need a new table with set of chairs to enjoy their home cooked meals.
If you really want to spoil them, maybe they need a whole new bed set up. Of course they’ll need a new set of sheets and a new comforter set to go with the new bed. This however can be tricky as you might not know what their individual styles are, so this present will require a little digging to make sure you get something they both will enjoy.
The rest of these wedding gift ideas will work for those who are getting married again or for both 1st time marriages. Choosing a wedding gift for a couple may seem like a pretty simple endeavor. Most of us think we can just run right out on our lunch hour and grab something, have it wrapped and the problem have solved. But if you’ve ever actually tried to do this, you’ve surely discovered that it’s never and ever that easy! There are several criteria to be met before purchasing a wedding gift, so let’s go over some of them before you waste another lunch hour!
If Possible, Make It Personal
First off: How well are you acquainted with the couple? Is this wedding gift going to a close, personal friend or a relative who is getting married? If you know someone fairly intimately then whatever you select needs to reflect that. What do you know about who are getting married that can make your gift to them special and memorable?
Do you know that the newlywed love to go rock climbing? If you do, then you should get your gift something for rock climbers’ use such as hooks, backpacks, rappelling lines and even books on rock climbing.
Gifts for the Boss
Whenever it’s your boss who is getting married, it pays to be certainly careful when choosing a wedding gift for obvious reasons. Of course you don’t want to appear too cheap nor do you want to spend more than you can afford. In this case, it’s important that you know what would please your superior without spending a leg and an arm.
If you’ve worked with him or her for quite some times, then you should know some of the things they like which are not related with job. And you will know about what his or her betrothed enjoys if you’re really sharp. If you know the wedding couple enjoys golf, you might think about getting them something which pertains to that like a gift certificate for 18 holes at their favorite club.
Wedding Gifts for People Who You Don’t Know Very Well
Finding a wedding gift for people you don’t know very well may be the easiest gift of all to get. First, you have to find out whether they have a gift registry. Then it becomes a simple thing of adding to their chosen set of silverware or other household items.
If the couple has not registered anywhere then a generic gift of which there is countless choices will suffice nicely. The point is that you express your generosity of spirit and wish the couple a happy wedding day by sending some sort of appropriate gift. This could include a gift basket filled with imported wine, cheeses, fruit and other gourmet goodies.
A wedding gift should express your best wishes for the couple, not advertise how much money you do or don’t have. So pick your gift to fit not only the couple but your budget, as well. And remember: It’s never the price of the gift that should matter but the sentiment with which it is given.

In general couples getting married in the UK have been given household items as wedding gifts. This was to help the wedding couple as they began a new life together and famous gifts included items like glassware, toasters, kettles and dinner services. It’s not a new idea for newlyweds to be given money as wedding gift even couples are automatically given money by their guests in some countries and cultures.
Times have changed and in the UK many couples who getting married already have plenty of household items and often ask for money. Perhaps the money will be used for the furniture, honeymoon, a deposit on a house or a new kitchen. Sometimes wedding couples will only ask for money as wedding gifts and others will mix gifts of money with other wedding gifts.
Some people aren’t keen on wedding gift lists but friends and family will usually want to give a gift to the happy couple and most people want to give a gift which they know the couple will appreciate and get use from. At some wedding gift list service, the gift lists often have a mix of gifts of money as well as other gifts. Guests will often purchase gifts of money instead of more traditional wedding gifts and some guests like to purchase a combination of gifts and money.
However wedding couples who like to ask for money as wedding gift should also add some gifts into their gift list so that everyone’s preferences are accommodated. So if they are looking for money towards the honeymoon, other suitable gifts that match the honeymoon list could be photo albums, a camera, luggage and photo frames.
Moreover couples should try to be specific about how the money will be spent so that guests feel that they’ve contributed towards a specific item. Most gifts of money are for the honeymoon where guests usually put money towards specific elements of the honeymoon such as accommodation, flight upgrades and car hire. When couples set up a honeymoon gift list, there are usually standard honeymoon gifts to add to their list such as drinks by the pool or a romantic meal for two which guests can then buy for them.
Another tip is to personalise your gifts of money whenever your gift list provider offers this service. Besides couples can customise their entire honeymoon list with their own gift prices, names, descriptions and pictures. So whenever couples want money to swim with dolphins then go on to have a romantic dinner for two at a specific restaurant and stay overnight in the local boutique hotel, these gifts can all be certainly added to their list. It’s also a great idea to personalise thank you cards to guests by adding a picture of what the guest contributed to such as a picture of the couple swimming with dolphins.

Try to Shop for Gift Earlier
This one step is usually the hardest things to do with all those busy schedules however it will not only make shopping less stressful and also save money and make it more enjoyable. Once you get the gift list and start comparing prices, then go shopping while the prices are good rather than waiting till the last minute and getting stuck paying full price. Moreover you may not get exactly what you wanted if you wait till the last minute to buy the gift and it may end up settling for something less than originally planned.
Find Out and Pay Attention to What They Like, Want and Need
As you pay attention to everyday comments like: “I bet this would look good in the living room” or “I sure could use something like this” you find that gift ideas are practically falling at your feet on a daily basis. The only difficult part is remembering these ideas until the need arises to buy these gifts. That’s why planning ahead is so useful as you won’t be caught off guard and when items go on sale you can take advantage of those savings. This way the wedding couple is getting something that they could really use and a helpful hint would be to check and make sure they haven’t already gotten the item before they announced the engagement. This is also a good way of avoiding the same gifts, by giving the happy couple something they may have forgotten they wanted and not being limited to the gift registries that everybody else is shopping from.
Shop Online
Nowadays you can find everything through internet and the best part is there are always lots of deals out there to take benefit of. There are so many unique personalized wedding gifts out there to help capture happy memories and make useful gifts to give to loved ones on days such as wedding celebrations. However the gift has to be something they really want so that the gift will be appreciated. The best part of shopping online is you can have most items delivered right to your home without leaving the comfort of your home and eliminate having to run around and look for the perfect gift. Moreover gift registries also can be done online and sometimes cover a wider range of gift ideas rather than just being limited to one or two stores.
Plan an Evening Out After the Wedding
This kind of gift creates lasting memories and also gives the happy couple something to look forward to. Once the bride and groom get back from their honeymoon, give them a romantic evening for them to look forward to. Especially if they are a young couple and just starting out, they will be financially strapped for awhile, so what better way to express your congratulations than by giving them tickets to a favorite event, show or just a nice dinner. This breaks up the day to day monotony for the new couple and will be greatly appreciated once the honeymoon euphoria has worn off.
Plan Some Kind of Getaway or Make Honeymoon Plans
Find out if the bride and groom have honeymoon plans and offer the honeymoon as the gift if you really want to spoil the new couple. It doesn’t matter if the vacation is a small weekend getaway or an elaborate trip planned just for two, this gift will be warmly welcomed by both him and her. Plus planning a trip can often be done online and there are a lot of web sites out there geared towards helping you find the perfect getaway for a great price. Again the couple will have something to look forward to and what’s better than spending quality time with your sweetie.
No matter what kind of gift you’re shopping for, you can save yourself a lot of money, stress and time by following these few simple ideas. Moreover nobody wants to be all stressed out trying to look for the perfect wedding gift, so just remember to shop for gifts easierand pretty soon shopping won’t be such a hassle anymore. Wedding gifts are always the best when they are something which the receiver really wants and when they come from the heart.

A day or two before your wedding, there is usually a wedding rehearsal and then a wedding rehearsal dinner. This is paid for traditionally by the groom’s family, and it’s when you will give your wedding attendants their gifts as a thank you for being in your wedding.
Bridesmaids – As a rule, jewelry is a good idea for the ladies. If they have pierced ears, you can give them earrings. If their ears aren’t pierced, you can give them necklaces.
It’s always a good idea to give them something that they can wear on the day of the wedding to go with their dresses.
Groomsmenushers – For the men, it’s a little more difficult to choose an appropriate gift. If you can’t find something that will be appropriate for all of them, you can choose comparable but different gifts.
Beer steins, shot glasses, and other similar items can be used, or something else that will reflect their individuality.
Remember, when you are choosing your gifts that these are your friends and family, and that you want them to know that you have appreciated everything that they have done.
The wedding rehearsal dinner is a time for the wedding party to come together and have a good time before the wedding.
Enjoy yourself and have a good time with your wedding party. You are celebrating the fact that you are going to be getting married soon, and that you will be starting a new life together with you spouse.

Your engagement ring can be incredibly beautiful, and is an important part of your life. However, there are lots of rings out there and a lot of terms that you might not be familiar with. That makes picking your engagement ring rather tricky.
There are three major components in any engagement ring choice – the metal, the stone, and the design. The stone is generally a diamond, and the metal is usually gold, but other options are also available.
Picking The Stone One thing to be aware of is the system for grading diamonds. The four components are Cut, Carat, Color and Clarity.
Pay close attention to the quality of your diamond when you buy, but don’t necessarily insist on the best. Buying a somewhat lower quality diamond can save you money, even though the stone looks the same to the naked eye.
Choosing Metals Most engagement rings have bands and settings in either gold or platinum. You can get gold in levels of quality from ten to twenty-four karats, and in many colors, ranging from yellow to white to rose.
Eighteen karat gold is probably the most popular engagement ring choice, but ten and fourteen karats are chosen by some because they’re stronger. These less pure alloys are harder to dent and scratch.
Platinum is an intriguing, though more expensive, alternative to gold. It looks similar to white gold, but it’s much harder, and if you learn to look, you can tell the difference between the two metals.
Designing Your Engagement Ring The design for your engagement ring is an extremely personal choice, whether you choose an existing ring or have a custom one made to your own specifications. There are also semi-custom rings, where you choose the stone, band size, and other design elements, combining them into the perfect ring for you.
There are four basic elements to a great engagement ring design. These are practicality, comfort, strength, and looks. A good ring should be comfortable and practical for daily wear, keep all its stones and hold up, and look good in any situation.
An attractive, durable, comfortable ring depends on the way you live and work. A higher setting looks pretty, but is prone to catch on things, making it a hazard in some conditions.
This is why some people choose gold that is less pure and has been adulterated by other metals – it’s stronger. It’s also a reason why other people look for sturdier rings or choose platinum over gold as a metal.
Security of stones is determined by the setting. Four prongs is the least secure, with a six prong setting being stronger, and a bezel setting even stronger than any prong setting. Heavier, lower settings are more durable than light, high settings.
